Lanette was raised on a farm in Oklahoma. She has carried the love of nature and the pioneer spirit throughout her life. She has worked with non-profits in various aspects, including more than 3.5 million in grants awards and management. She moved to Alaska from Texas in 2009. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to all 50 states, Canada, Denmark, Norway, scuba diving in Cozumel, climbing a pyramid in Chichen Itza, snorkeling in the Galapagos Islands, photo safari in Kenya, and visits to Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador. While living in Germany she also explored France, Switzerland and England. Other adventures include vertical wind tunnel, sky diving, fighter pilot for a day, and conducting a zero-gravity flight experiment with NASA. In Alaska she loves to walk her dog, Tucker, on the trails; ride the Harley, zipline, and other adventures with her brother who lives in Anchorage, and practice at the firing range in Valdez.
Teri Holderman
Accountant
Teri was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. Besides doing the bookkeeping for Valdez Adventure Alliance, she is the Administrative Assistant for the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Public Works Department. She stays busy doing life with her husband, two adult children, grandson and two dogs. If she is able to find any spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, quilting and hiking.
