Please vote for us for the Access Fund’s Climbing Conservation Grant
Hello Adventurers,
Today we are asking for your help. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on grants to complete projects that will help the environment. We need you to vote for Valdez Adventure Alliance on this year’s Access Fund Climbing Conservation Grant. This annual fund has helped many companies, including us, last year.
In 2020, we used the Access Fund’s grant to start the Berry Trails. We had a few setbacks (who didn’t in 2020?) but now the trail is open, and leads to some great climbs! This was all possible because of the partial grant from Access Fund.
This year, we want to finish the Berry Trail construction, to avoid potentially negative environmental impacts while keeping the Blueberry Rock and Raspberry Rock areas available to the public. With several events and an outdoor college program beginning this fall, it is important we complete this trail soon.

When you visit the survey site, scroll down to 9. Valdez Adventure Alliance and select “5 - High Priority”. It will look like this:

We plan on using this money to clear trails and manage the land, to help you and others have access to wild spaces and rock faces for sport, recreation, or just to appreciate the outdoors!
